Yang Shu, Senior Engineer, Visiting Scholar for International Climate Protection at the Humboldt Foundation in Germany from 2019 to 2020. Currently, he is the Deputy General Manager of the Green Development Business Unit at the Guangzhou Branch of the China Quality Certification Center. Lead the team to extensively carry out policy consultation, research projects, third-party verification, evaluation and other technical services on addressing climate change, green and low-carbon issues. Also serving as a member of the Third National Environmental Standardization Technical Committee for Electrical and Electronic Products and Systems (SAC/TC297), an environmental protection consulting expert of the Standing Committee of the 13th People's Congress of Guangdong Province, a director of the Guangdong Environmental Economy and Policy Research Association, a member and Deputy Secretary General of the Guangdong Carbon Peak Carbon Neutrality Standardization Technical Committee, and a member of the Guangdong Carbon Emission Trading Mechanism Research and Design Working Group Vice leader of the Guangdong Carbon Trading Technology Group, member of the Guangdong Carbon Generalized System Expert Committee, and lecturer at the National Carbon Market Capacity Building (Guangdong) Center. In recent years, I have been mainly responsible for assisting in the research on the institutional mechanisms and drafting of policy documents and technical specifications for low-carbon work in our province, including the pilot of carbon emission trading, the pilot of carbon universal benefit system, the demonstration project of near zero carbon emission zones, and the carbon labeling system. I have rich experience in research and practical work in the field of addressing climate change.
