Kun-pyo Lee

Professor Lee Kin-pyo is currently the Dean and Chair Professor of the School of Design. Professor Lee received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Chung-Ang University in South Korea, and later went to the United States to complete his Master of Science in Design at the School of Design of the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he was awarded a scholarship by the Ministry of Education of South Korea, becoming one of only two scholars in the country. Later, Professor Li went to Japan for further study and was awarded the title of Doctor of Design by the University of Tsukuba.

Prior to his appointment at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Professor Lee worked closely with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) since 1988, where he was the head of the Department of Industrial Design for ten years and also led the Human-Centered Interactive Design Lab.
