Michel Millot (France) | After studying industrial design in the famous Ulm school, the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Germany, Michel Millot was responsible for the design department of Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. He taught at the University of Montreal in Canada while doing research in the design concept. He was design consultant in one of the largest French distribution company where he developed a products usage testing methods, for product selection, information and design. He has participated in design of more than 1800 products in the most varied fields, getting 30 design awards, as well as in the training of over 900 product designers in Europe, Canada, Korea and China. He was a professor at ENSAD, Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris where he has established the curriculum of the industrial design department, and later was appointed as director of the department. He is president of the ISUC, Institute of Use and Design Sciences, and industrial designer for the European and Asian industry (Korea, Malaysia, Japan and China over the past fifteen years) He has made lectures on the analysis of usage and design methodology in the Central Academy of Arts and Design in Beijing and Na-rai-Design School of Seoul. He works regularly since 1995 for more than 60 Chinese companies in the most diverse sectors. |
