Founder of CQ International BV and CEO

He started his education of technical engineering in Breda, Netherlands and moved forward with his career in the Royal Dutch Navy for 2 years working on complicated technical issues in extreme environments. After successfully finishing these tasks he started at the industrial design faculty of the “The Hague University of Applied Sciences” where he graduated after four years. Thereupon he got the opportunity to combine his technical knowledge and management skills at Yacht consultancy. During a period of three years he successfully managed several projects for KPN telecom, the National government and two leading manufacturers in the field of display and signing. During the same years he worked as an independent technical project manager and consultant for several brands and manufacturers.

In 2002 he became one of the founding members CQ industrial design. His management skills in combination with the technical knowledge and design education created a clear roadmap for the startup of CQ industrial design. The understanding of international business regarding design, engineering and manufacturing created a solid growth for the company from the beginning. Creating the standard for European Design with the knowledge that a design is just a begin, nothing else.

After a successful startup in the Netherlands he is now managing the overall expansion on international markets. The experience of high quality design in combination with low cost production is now successfully being transformed in new markets. With a strong focus on the Chinese market CQ international is now operating from there brand new Asian head office in Guangzhou CQ Asia. His objective is to create more growth on the Chinese market for strong European design.
