Graduated from Industrial Design Department of Wuxi Polytechnic University (the present Jiangnan University) in 1995.

Present Position: Director General of Industrial Design Center of Daily Electronic Appliance of Media Group.

Mr. Yao Yuan has accumulated senior experience of industrial design and management in well-known enterprises, creating design works with professional features that meet the market demands. He has been granted as the Dragon Awards2007 Chinese Top Ten Youth of Industrial Design, and his works has received professional awards in home and abroad, including IF and Reddot, and more than 20 appearance patents and utility model patents.

He is also Council Member of China Industrial Design Association, Expert Committee Member of China Industrial Design Association, Adjunct Professor of Engineering Master Course of Tsinghua University and Guangdong Industrial Design Training College.

He has been invited to be jury for 2013 China Industrial Design Top 10 Awards, Guangdong governor's Cup, Wuxi Taihu Industrial Design Competition, 2012 China Industrial Design Excellence Award, 2013 Jiangsu Province Industrial Design Competition, and 2013 Canton Fair Design Awards.
