Born in La Spezia, he lives and works in Milan. He graduated at the University of architecture in Florence at the age of 23 and, in the same faculty, he taught and conducted research until 1991.In 1984 and 1985 he collaborated with Ettore Sottsass and with Alchimia-Mendini. He taught at Domus Academy in Milan, at the Università del Progetto in Reggio Emilia Design, at the University of Architecture in Florence and in Genova. He works as industrial designer, designing many bestsellers and commercially successful products that awarded him as “Champion of Super and Popular of the years 2000” (Alberto Alessi), “King Mida of design” (Cristina Morozzi), “Most bankable designer” (Eugenio Perazza, Magis).
