SGS CHK EEC Director of Consumer Testing Services

Laurence is responsible for growing the business in SGS China & Hong Kong of EE division which covers all the electrical products safety, EMC, radio frequency, energy efficiency, reliability testing. To achieve this, he is required to formulate the strategy, acquire the resources, deliver the result and support the global team to carry out the global mission.

Laurence graduated from the electronic engineering course in HK Polytechnic University and received his MBA from University of Leicester in UK. He has 30 years of working experience. He spent his first ten years in telecommunication product manufacturing sector and focused on product design. He joined the testing and certification center in 1994. He managed to gain the accreditation of the first EMC lab in HK and he was qualified as the reviewer for the HOKLAS accreditation report. In 2008, he joined SGS group and developed the global product certification program. He also works with big brands and retailers to develop the quality assurance program to ensure the product compliance, quality and performance.
