Xiangyang Xin Professor, Pro-Rector, Dean of Graduate School, City University of Macau, China. Xin holds a PhD in Design from Carnegie Mellon University with research interests in interaction and experience design, service design and design strategies. Xin had served as Former Dean of Design at Jiangnan University, and Discipline leader of MDes Interaction Design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He looks at how design, both professionally and philosophically, contributes to transformations of technologies, lifestyles, businesses and cultures. Xin has spoken internationally and conducted workshops on interaction design, service design and cultural innovation, served as a jury member on design competitions including GMarkt, IXDA and RedStar, and has worked with with partners including Efficiency Unit of Hong Kong Government, P&G, Changhong, Huawei, Tencent, Aurora, ASTRI (Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Ltd., Hong Kong), Samsung, Philips etc. His contributions has been recognized and awarded as the Future Voice of Interaction Design 2015 by the IXDA, 2014 “Silver Metal of Contribution to Design” by Dragon Design Foundation, 2013 “10 Best Industrial Design Educator of China” from CIDA (Chinese Industrial Design Association), and etc. |
